New Beginnings Residential Treatment Facilities was founded in 1996 New Beginnings Residential Treatment Facilities is a non-profit corporation established to serve female foster youth and wards of court. New Beginnings specializes in pregnant and parenting foster youth between the ages of 12 and 17 years old as well as parenting non-minor dependents between the ages of 18-19 years old with babies newborn to age 2, in a short-term residential treatment program. Although we specialize in parenting foster youth, the program expanded in 2006 to include non parenting foster youth, wards of court, and non minor dependents. Our program offers individualized treatment tailored to each client’s needs which typically takes place over six months and is built on a 24-hour milieu overseen by a multidisciplinary team of experienced professionals and well-trained youth development specialist. Based on cognitive behavioral principles, this highly structured experiential program is designed to teach children cognitive strategies and social skills that will enable them to live effective and fulfilling lives at home and in the community. Although our specialty remains with pregnant or parenting minors or non-minor dependents, we also specialize in CSEC clients.
